AA Rosettes spring 2026 update
Key figures from the UK’s restaurant elite took centre stage at our Spring Rosette update, as the latest awards for culinary excellence were unveiled in London on 3 March.
New 4 Rosettes
Two restaurants achieved the coveted four AA Rosettes, while a further twelve secured three Rosettes – a powerful reflection of Britain’s strength as a world-class dining destination. Held at the RAK Ceramics Design Hub, the ceremony celebrated the creativity, ambition and technical brilliance defining today’s hospitality landscape.
Among those reaching the prestigious four-Rosette level are Home by James Sommerin in Penarth and Sorrel in Dorking, both praised by AA inspectors for their exceptional food.
Achieving three AA Rosettes places restaurants firmly on the national stage, recognising culinary excellence that resonates far beyond their local area. Four Rosettes, meanwhile, signal entry into an exclusive echelon reserved for restaurants delivering outstanding gastronomy with precision, flair and consistency.
A new highlight this year was the introduction of the AA Sommelier of the Year Award, with Cathryn Bell at Fernery at Grove of Narberth named the inaugural winner. The award recognises exceptional wine expertise and the ability to elevate the guest experience through instinct, theatre and precision.
Established in 1956, the AA Rosette Awards remain one of the UK’s most respected benchmarks for restaurant quality, continuing to champion the very best of British food .
