About the course

This full day interactive workshop looks at the key operational aspects required to achieve a Red Star rating. We focus on how the AA assess hotels, Red Star standards, expectations, and the culture required within the hotel to achieve this accolade. This includes a self-audit on existing standards and begin to develop new ideas, standards and initiatives to take back to the workplace and really delight and wow customers.

What you need to know

• Designed for current and aspiring Red Star hotels at any star rating
• Carried out by trained and experienced AA inspectors
• We come to you, all we require is a presentation space, projector and screen
• Maximum of 30 people on a course
• In some cases, overnight accommodation will be required the night prior to training

Background

The AA’s Red Star award has long been established as a strong indicator of higher quality hotels; hotels that lead, rather than follow. The award was initiated to enable customers to make informed choices of where to stay and to provide hotels that have higher standards of quality. The award has become established within the industry as a key quality benchmark. Frequently, advertisements for hospitality management or staff will seek out people who have had experience at Red Star hotels. The award is given across all hotel star ratings and is given to hotels that excel in all areas relevant to their class. Whatever their rating, Red Star hotels will be over-achievers.
